When you download this app, you have the chance to play your favorite games on other devices when you're away from your console. You can log into your Game Pass and access titles from there. As long as you have a newer version of Windows running on your device and a paid subscription, you can use this tool. It even lets you compete against your friends and others online if they have the same game and play at the same time.

Microsoft released the Xbox app to take attention away from Nintendo and its Switch, which you can take with you. The Xbox app has multiple buttons on the side of the screen that let you view all of the games you own and any groups or clubs you join. Using the achievements setting lets you view all of the achievements you unlocked in different games and those you still need to finish. With the Game DVR section, you have the chance to save videos of your favorite games and save them. You can then watch those videos whenever you want or share them online.

The Xbox app is far from perfect though. It requires a paid subscription to use it and does not include any games for the Xbox 360, even if you bought and played those games.
